I like how in both the first one and the second one they made the villain strong but not macho. Really like how Rani's Character brings down the villain. level 1 Found it to be very chilling. I had goosebumps for some of the more graphic scenes. Vishal was just amazing! He portrayed the character with great intensity, depth and was simply amazing. His character, too, was really interesting in terms of the back story. The psychologist in me was dying to know more about it. Apart from that, Rani was awesome as she was in the previous Mardaani. I loved that they called out some of the cultural BS about women, gender rights and equality. level 1 Overall, I loved the movie. It had great characters, a compelling plot, and a great overarching theme. At the same time, I wish it were a little less over the top. The villain is near genius, somehow outsmarting the entire police force with very few resources. I feel like the message of the movie would been served better if the situations it depicted were more grounded. level 1 Some of Rani’s dialogue showed that the filmmakers don’t have much faith in the audience. She would basically reword things that people just said (such as when she was talking to the doctor). Felt like there was a lot of “telling” being done through her dialogue when there could have been “showing. ” I think she acted well though. On the plus side: Vishal Jethwa absolutely killed this performance. Man, was this guy good!! Would definitely recommend watching this movie, if only for Jethwa’s performance. level 1 Love the movie. The guy who played the villain was outstanding. I loved how he broke the fourth wall. This was something very different from other bollywood movies. Loved how it never went overboard with moral policing. level 1 Watched it last night, really one of the bests. The villain was reminding me of Joker from the dark knight. Never ever I have hated a fictional character like that. Rani is definitely one of the bests we have. But saying this the best thing about this movie is that it does not preach about feminism but shows it and it is really so sad to see how women are treated in this country. High time for women to find Durga inside their beautiful souls. level 2 I felt like the interview scene was kinda preachy, not necessarily in terms of its content, but because it didn’t contribute much to the rest of the movie. It also broke up the pacing of the movie in a way that felt jarring. level 1 Thought the film was nice, Vishal did a good job but nothing extraordinary as I've heard some people say. Overall it's a good watch and worth watching. level 1 Will watch both, 1& 2. Was planning to watch Shokara today but reviews have disappointed me. level 2 I saw shikara its a waste of time level 1 I watch so many movies that I hardly remember the first movie. I remember some scenes but am amazed at other folks memory. Anyways saw Mardaani 2 on prime. Decent movie. Don't mind rani continuing for more parts. The first crime made you feel the suffering. After that it was chooha billi game that was standard although enjoyable / engrossing enough given the subject matter. The villain seemed way more capable than a person would be in real life (sending duplicate car: for example: and also the first car that explodes) level 1 Didn't like 2 as much as 1. Though Jethwa was good, the movie itself could have been better made. level 1 I really liked the psycho/sociopath that he is portraying but it actually reminded me nawaz siddiqui's character from Raman Raghaw. I felt like watching a prequel of that film, seeing the villain in his prior years.. rani was ok, thoda overacting bhi tha.. ı think it wasnt that twisty like the first movie but again fun to watch. level 1 Comment deleted by user 29 days ago ( 0 children).
